The same question can come back for weeks, until repetition gives it a form no one expected. Around this work, an instinct recognizes situations already lived, a lack waits to be named, and an experience waits to be told.

What the Ajna receives

The Ajna, the center of Gate 24, Rationalization, is not a motor: it gives form to what a question or a conversation brings it, without providing anything to act with.

With Gate 61, Mystery, elsewhere in the chart, the material comes from the Head: the 24-61, the Channel of Awareness, holds the question open while the 24 looks for its form. When the 61 is missing, the 24 finds itself in an Ajna defined by another channel, or open.

This is a Right Angle version, which Human Design describes as a personal destiny.

Line 12 on Thursdays

At the bus depot, a question has been coming back to Bertille since September: why does line 12 fall behind schedule on Thursdays, and only on that day? She thinks about it for weeks without deliberately setting her mind to it, and each time the question shifts a little.

A colleague suggests adding a bus at rush hour. Bertille immediately recognizes the solution tried on another line six years earlier: two buses one behind the other, the second almost empty. She first asks for three weeks of passenger counts at the market stops.

When the counts arrive, the question has shifted its focus: the delay does not come from the road but from a timetable written for a town without a market. She proposes moving the Thursday departures by a quarter of an hour; the line runs on time again.

The form that comes after many passes

Each return of Gate 24 puts the idea to the test: the final form does not look like the first one and holds up better. The Earth, in Gate 44, Alertness, adds a safeguard, flagging at once the lead that recalls a past failure, or a success.

Placed in the Design, Gate 19, Wanting, points to specific lacks; Gate 33, Privacy, gives back, when the time comes, a whole experience. What comes out of the reflection thus keeps a link with what the person has been through and with what they have lacked, not just with a line of reasoning.

Going around in circles alone

If the Channel of Awareness were their only channel, the person would be a Projector with mental authority: the choice is discovered by laying it out to trusted people. A decision turned over alone, in the evening, without ever being spoken, can go around in circles for months without settling.

The instinct of the 44 can be fooled by a surface resemblance. A proposal that uses the words of a failed former project is dismissed on that resemblance alone, and the 24 can then circle for weeks around this refusal without coming back to the proposal itself.

For you, for others

For you

Let important questions come back for as long as they are still moving. The day you have to decide, lay out your options to someone you trust; the story of what you have been through can wait for its time.

For others

Suggest that a business partner who has this cross think out loud with you, instead of asking him for a conclusion. When he dismisses an offer without being able to explain why, ask him what it reminds him of.

Frequently asked questions about the Right Angle Cross of the Four Ways

Is constantly returning to a thought a problem?

Not as long as it moves. With the 24, each pass changes the thought a little; a thought that comes back without changing anything has stopped working: it is then worth saying it to someone.

Does keeping an experience to yourself prevent you from asking for advice?

Not at all: the 33 holds back the story of an experience, not the presentation of a choice. You can discuss your options without telling what gave rise to them.

How does Gate 44 help the 24?

By giving it a point of comparison. While the 24 looks for a new form, the 44 signals in an instant that a lead resembles what has already failed, or succeeded, and spares it a detour.

What happens when a lack presses before the reflection is over?

The 19, in the Design, demands a way out before the 24 has finished its work. A decision made to silence this pressure is not necessarily the one the reflection would have produced; a step announced as such makes it possible to wait for what comes next.
