Dissolving what has served: how do you tell it apart from destruction?
Destruction destroys what could still work. Tone 11’s dissolution applies to what has fulfilled its role and is now holding things back. A tone 11 in good shape senses the difference between what is finished and what deserves to be kept. A tone 11 that doesn’t trust itself dissolves everything, or nothing.
What does tone 11 demand more than any other?
Accepting that letting go is a whole act, not a half-movement. Tone 11 can’t pretend to release something while holding on to it: it is all or nothing. This rigor in letting go sets it apart, and sometimes makes it hard to follow.
Why is tone 11 hard on the people around it?
Because it can put an end to things others don’t yet see as finished. It perceives what has run its course well before the people around it do. This gap between its reading and theirs produces breaks that look abrupt from the outside, but are logical from its point of view.
