An order nobody dared to take on, a trial proposed to a team that is dozing off: difficulty gets the will going again. Instinct says in a split second whether the ground is sound. Two physical pushes then supply what it takes to open a project and carry it higher.
A will in the Heart, two pushes in the Root
Gate 51, Shock, sits in the Heart, the center of willpower. The only possible harmonic gate of the 51, Gate 25, Spirit of the Self, is in the G Center, outside this cross. A chart whose only channel is the 25-51, the Channel of Initiation, would belong to a Projector; the decision would then fall to the Heart, with Ego Authority: the will woken by the jolt would have the last word.
The Root hosts the Design gates: Gate 54, Ambition, and Gate 53, Beginnings. They supply a physical pressure and decide nothing, since the Root is not one of the centers that decide. What the jolt has set going again finds in them the means to move forward; the chart’s center of authority says whether to move forward.
The two-meter statue
In an art foundry, the team has been casting the same small bronzes for a gallery for months. Everyone works on autopilot, and the breaks grow longer. One Monday, Swann, a mold maker, sets on the workbench the model of a two-meter statue that a sculptor wanted cast in a single piece. Two nearby foundries had turned it down.
He takes the most delicate part for himself, the mold of the face, and offers each person a post they have never held. For six weeks, the casting is all anyone talks about in the cafeteria. On the day, the bronze fills the mold in one go.
In the months that follow, the team asks him for a new challenge with every order. He picks one in the fall, a bell for a chapel, and lets the others go by.
Raising the bar, going first
A team that is dozing off gets moving again when one of its own raises the bar and starts with themselves. The 51 knows how to propose this trial, and a setback spurs it on more than it stops it. Gate 57, Intuitive Clarity, placed at the Personality Earth, adds an instant sorting: the unhealthy moment, place or order makes itself known in a second, before enthusiasm has swept everything away.
What the trial has woken does not fall away with it. The 53 gives the urge to open the project it makes possible, the 54 the urge to carry it one notch above the last. A success then serves as a starting point more than as a memory.
A workshop turned into an arena
A taste for testing yourself can turn a workplace into a permanent competition. Every order becomes a bet, every colleague a rival to beat. Those who just wanted to do their work well end up looking for another workshop.
The pressure of the Root also pushes toward accepting quickly. An order taken to make things happen, before the chart’s center of authority has spoken, commits months of work to a drive that falls away on the day of the casting.
A personal destiny: that is how the Right Angle is described. The statue was Swann’s trial, not a debt owed to the team: if the others no longer want challenges, he does not have to drag them back to it every month to earn their respect.
For you, for others
For you
Choose your trials one by one. A single one per season, taken because your authority wanted it, gets you moving again; ten accepted to keep up appearances scatter you. What the difficulty opens up next does well to climb one notch at a time.
For others
When a colleague has this cross, present the difficult order to them as it is, without softening it: the difficulty gets them going. That said, do not ask them to take one on every month.
Frequently asked questions about the Right Angle Cross of Penetration
From one Cross of Penetration to another, what varies?
The starting point, which changes with the gate of the Personality Sun. In this version, it is the will of the Heart: the trial comes first, and the instinct and the two pushes of the Root follow it.
Should difficulties be provoked?
No. The jolt can come from an event as well as from a chosen trial; manufacturing one every season tires more than it revives. The choice of trials, for its part, is made by the chart’s own authority.
How do you tell the right trial from one challenge too many?
By what triggers it and by what it leaves behind. Accepted on a yes from the authority, it leaves drive for what comes next; accepted for the image, it mostly leaves fatigue.
Does this cross push people to crush others?
It pushes them to measure themselves, against their own limits as much as against someone stronger. Winning against someone matters less than the trial itself; competition becomes a pitfall when it slips into every exchange.
