What is understood must first find its words, then a desire that lasts, then a gut response; commitment comes last and holds for a long time. Gate 23, Assimilation, holds the Personality Sun.

The channel at birth, two motors in the Design

Born of the two Personality positions, the Channel of Structuring joins the 23 and the 43; the Throat and the Ajna are therefore both defined.

On the Design side, the 30 and the 29 sit in two motors, the Solar Plexus and the Sacral, with no channel between them: desire and working energy depend on the chart’s other channels.

With its harmonic gate, Gate 41, Contraction, the 30 would form the Channel of Recognition. A chart reduced to these two channels would belong to a Projector, whose authority would be emotional.

Translating an estimate

Sidonie is an electrician in Angers. At the meeting of her neighborhood association, no one understands the line items of the estimate for redoing the wiring in the community hall.

The president asks her what they mean. Sidonie goes over them one by one, in the words of the people sitting there; the vote takes place that same evening.

At the end, the president looks for someone to oversee the work. Sidonie raises her hand, although she usually runs from anything that looks like a committee.

Eight months later, the hall reopens, and she is the one the neighbors call when a breaker trips.

Speaking, then committing

Knowledge grasped all at once finds a direct path to speech; the person offers it to whoever has a use for it, in that person’s own words.

The Design gives this speech a possible follow-through: the 30, a desire that confirms itself by passing through several moods; the 29, a gut response to a specific proposal. What has been explained can then become a commitment lasting several years.

Getting carried away, and politeness

When nothing defines the Solar Plexus, the 30 mistakes other people’s enthusiasm for its own: a project launched in the middle of a won-over room may mean nothing the next day.

The meaning given to the Left Angle, a transpersonal karma, does not turn every request into a duty, even if the person’s purpose needs other people. A commitment made out of politeness is kept without the strength of the Sacral, and it weighs all the more the longer it lasts.

For you, for others

For you

Let a desire survive a tired day before you commit to it, then let your gut respond to a concrete proposal: that second yes is the one that will hold.

For others

If your sister has this cross, propose a commitment to her when she is calm, then give her time. When she explains something, let her try out several versions.

Frequently asked questions about the Left Angle Cross of Dedication

Can you decide on the desire of the 30 alone?

Not on it alone. It passes through the wave of the Solar Plexus and only becomes clear after several moods; when this center is defined, the authority is emotional, and clarity comes with time.

Can you say no with Gate 29?

Yes: the Sacral also knows how to answer no, and that no is worth as much as its yes. You still have to listen to it before politeness answers in its place.

Does an idea that is well explained commit you to carrying it out?

It commits you to nothing by itself. The 23 makes an idea audible; devoting yourself to it is the business of the 30 and the 29. An idea can be well put and never become a project.

Are the two Crosses of Dedication alike?

They start from two different gates at the Personality Sun. Here, the cross begins with the speech that makes an idea audible; the 43 version begins with the flash that makes it visible.
