The 12 houses in astrology
The twelve houses divide the birth chart into areas of life, starting from the Ascendant, which opens the 1st House. They depend on the time and place of birth. Each house is angular, succedent or cadent, and naturally corresponds to a sign and its planet.
From the 1st House to the 12th House
- Angular 1st House Identity and self-image Two people born on the same day can have very different 1st houses, because this house depends on the exact time of birth.
- Succedent 2nd House Resources and personal worth What a person owns, what they earn and what they believe they are worth all come together in one sector of the chart, the second house.
