A muddled question becomes an answer that can be repeated, then a gesture you show and a piece of work you see through to the end. In between stand a few rules for those close to the person, set once the mood has passed.
Two harmonic gates in one place
The four gates of this Juxtaposition of fixed fate are joined by no channel. The two Design gates, however, have their harmonic gates in the same center, the G Center: Gate 1, Self-Expression, for the 8, and Gate 2, The Direction of the Self, for the 14.
Present elsewhere in the chart, the 1 would link the shown gesture of the 8 to the G Center through the Channel of Inspiration, through which a style circulates without being imposed. The 2 would give the energy of the 14 a direction, through the Channel of the Beat. Without them, the defined centers, the Type and the authority come from the rest of the chart.
The workbench at the reuse center
Clotilde has volunteered at a reuse center for eleven years. When the board was looking for someone to open a repair workshop on Saturdays, she went and pulled the workbench out of the storeroom that same evening.
On Saturdays, she opens up a toaster in front of visitors and shows them where to look first. People copy her. When someone asks why you unplug it and wait a minute, she answers in one short sentence, which the regulars end up giving in her place.
The board also offered her the treasurer’s post. She said no, without explanation, and the workshop has been running for four years.
From answer to gesture
The 4 gives a question an answer that can be passed on without its author. The 8, on the Design side, turns it into a gesture shown to others, and the 14 puts into it the patient energy of chosen tasks.
The rules for the close circle come from the 49, at the Earth; they are set once the wave has passed and fit in a few words.
A form with no momentum of its own
The 4 formulates without supplying any energy to act; the 14 has the energy, provided a task has made it respond. Between the two, a perfect answer can stay in the drawer, or a task accepted without desire can absorb the energy meant for everything else.
A method shown well ends up being taken up without anyone knowing where it came from. Without Gate 1 in the chart, nothing guarantees that the way of doing things keeps its author’s mark; waiting for that recognition leads to disappointment.
For you, for others
For you
Save your energy for the tasks your body has responded to; a well-formulated answer can wait in the drawer until a task you chose puts it to use.
For others
Give a friend with this cross a specific question, not a post to fill: her answer will serve you for a long time, whereas a role accepted out of duty will exhaust her.
Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Formulization
Does Gate 4 require being comfortable with writing?
Writing is only one possible medium: the answer can fit on a label, in a recipe, in a gesture shown to someone. The 4 gives a form that can be passed on, the 8 turns it into something others can handle.
What do the 8 and the 14 bring together?
Two things side by side: the 14, know-how acquired on tasks accepted with enthusiasm; the 8, a way of doing things shown to others. One does not depend on the other, but the same piece of work can carry both.
Which gate does Gate 4 form a channel with?
With Gate 63, Doubt, in the Head. The Channel of Logic then forms, and every answer first goes through the test of questions; without the 63, verification comes from facts or from other people.
Should you wait before stating a rule of the 49?
It is better to let the wave of the Solar Plexus pass. Set at the height of an upset, a rule keeps its mark; set in calm, it fits in a few words and lasts.
