A roof redone, a business that runs, a trade learned on the job: working energy is judged by what it leaves behind. There’s no shortage of drive; everything depends on the task you give it to.
The Sacral’s energy at work
A gesture repeated a hundred times ends up being done without thinking. The Sacral supplies the energy for these repetitions, provided it is offered something to respond to. Gate 14, Power Skills, describes what this energy becomes when it is applied to the same work over a long time: know-how, which shows in what has been done.
The course comes from elsewhere. Gate 2, The Direction of the Self, joins Gate 14 from the G Center to form the 2-14, the Channel of the Beat. Since this channel defines the Sacral, only two Types remain possible for someone who has it, Generator and Manifesting Generator; on its own, it makes the first. The second requires a motor to connect to the Throat. A channel like the 1-8, between the G Center and the Throat, is enough: Gate 14’s energy then rises from the Sacral to the Throat through the G Center.
A trade learned site by site
Yasmine learned masonry helping an uncle one summer, because he had asked her and she had said yes without thinking.
Ten years later, she runs a small renovation business. No one taught her management: she learned it one request at a time, one invoice after another.
Her employees have noticed that she doesn’t tire on jobs she accepted straight away. On the ones she took on as a favor, she drags her feet, and so does the work.
Her chart also contains Gate 2. Last year, she turned down a big contract without being able to say why, other than that her gut had responded no; the business took another direction, which she couldn’t have justified any better.
Know-how that builds up
What the person takes on from a real response, they end up mastering, because they keep coming back to it without having to force themselves. The Sacral’s energy is transformed this way, task after task, into know-how.
These skills have no designated field: bookkeeping suits them as well as carpentry.
Joined by Gate 2, Gate 14 finds a course: know-how then builds up in a single direction instead of scattering.
Energy put to poor use
Three projects launched in the same week, because the energy is there to run them all at once: this scenario lies in wait for a Manifesting Generator with Gate 14. The work moves forward, but those it involves, the business partner, the family, Monday’s client, knew nothing about it.
This Type’s Strategy includes the step of informing. When that step is skipped, the people around them discover the projects partway through, and friction starts before the work has even been judged.
Energy can also be committed without a response. A job taken for the salary alone gets the hours and the goodwill; in a Generator, the Type’s frustration grows without the work being any better for it.
People readily praise someone who doesn’t count their hours. Those compliments push the person to prove their worth through volume, when the gate shows it in what has been done well.
