A group asks for its way; the person with this cross offers one, then looks for the sentences that will make it clear. She hears objections all the way through before answering.
A channel shared by two crosses
The four gates of the Left Angle Cross of Masks are also the gates of this one. The Juxtaposition changes the meaning of the angle, described here as a fixed fate; it does not change the channel. The 23 and the 43 form the Channel of Structuring in both crosses, with the same Throat and the same Ajna defined.
Twelve pitches along the hedge
One evening in March, as she closed the campground gate, Edwige suddenly saw where to put the twelve pitches the town had just granted her: along the lower hedge, angled in a herringbone, without cutting down a single tree.
She announced it that same evening at dinner, in three sentences, with the plain words she uses to explain the laundry hours to campers. Her brother, her partner in the business, pulled out the utilities map: the water did not reach that far.
She let him go through his figures to the very last one without interrupting. They kept half of her idea, the part the pipes could reach. The lower hedge stayed with the walkers.
A way put into words
The 7 gives the group the direction it was looking for; the 23, at the Design Sun, puts it into sentences everyone can follow. The substance comes from the 43: a solution that arrives whole, which the channel carries all the way to speech.
With the Throat defined, the way of saying things does not change from one audience to another; only the words adjust. An objection, for its part, can run its full course with this person without having to defend itself: that is the listening of the 13, which goes through no channel.
Speaking for the whole group
Placed in the role of guide, the person can end up speaking on behalf of the group. Yet the 23 conveys the understanding of a single person.
Passing off your own solution as everyone’s silences those who had not yet spoken; the group finds out too late that it decided nothing.
The listening of the 13 has its downside in this role. To the one who raised it, an objection heard all the way through can pass for agreement; the person does well to say what they take from it before the group moves on.
For you, for others
For you
Present your proposal as your own, not as the group’s, then give everyone time to share theirs. A group that chose to follow you follows you better than a group that was silenced.
For others
When a business partner with this cross explains a project and you lose the thread along the way, tell him where, and he will start again from there with different words.
Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Interaction
Without a group, what is left of this cross?
Three gates out of four. The 7 only has a role if one is entrusted to it, which takes a group; one-on-one listening, the sudden idea and its words work in any conversation.
Does this channel make the person a good teacher?
It guarantees no talent. It gives new knowledge a direct path to speech; clarity is worked on afterward, attempt after attempt.
Can an idea seen all at once be wrong?
Yes. A solution that arrives whole is no more reliable for it; what the Ajna delivers has to be tested against what others know, like the objection of a partner who knows the ground.
What does Gate 13 bring to this cross?
A listening ear: people confide in the person, one on one, what they do not tell the group. The 13 forms no channel in this cross; these stories do not pass through the one formed by the 23 and the 43.
