The things a person does in front of others end up serving them; the bonds they form are meant to last. Their mood, on the other hand, rises and falls in a rhythm all its own, with neither the work nor the people close to them having anything to do with it.

One motor for the 14 and the 59

The Sacral houses both the 14 and Gate 59, Sexuality, without the two forming a channel together. Gate 6, Friction, sits in the same center as Gate 55, Spirit: the Solar Plexus. The 59’s harmonic gate is this Gate 6: with it, the Channel of Intimacy would link the Sacral to the Solar Plexus. If the chart were limited to the cross and this channel, the person would be a Generator with Emotional Authority.

With the profile comes the Left Angle, whose meaning is transpersonal karma. These words touch none of the four gates: the 8 contributes and the 55 makes its waves just as in any chart that contains them.

Sixty tomato seedlings

Roseline and her neighbor from the third floor have been running the building’s vegetable garden together for five years. They share the planters, the keys to the shed and the discussions with the property manager.

One Saturday in April, Roseline comes down with sixty tomato seedlings raised on her windowsills and gives them to everyone who walks by. She stays until nightfall planting her own, laid on their side and buried deep. The next day, the neighbors plant theirs the same way; she has explained nothing.

Ten days later, she stops coming down. No argument, no bad news. Her neighbor waters Roseline’s planters along with her own; Roseline picks up the watering can again the following week.

A way of doing things passed on without a lesson

A garden, a team or a household benefits from what the person does in front of others. Gate 8, Contribution, puts a way of doing things within their reach; Gate 14, Power Skills, gives it the assurance of gestures repeated hundreds of times.

The 59 turns this strength toward shared projects, and the Sacral makes chosen bonds last the way it makes work last. The high days of the 55 add an abundance that spills over onto those around, in seedlings, ideas or invitations.

Undoing things on a gray evening

The 55 makes mood rise and fall for no reason. Those around then look for the fault they must have committed. Taking a low for a verdict on what has been built risks undoing, on a dull evening, something that was holding up perfectly well.

The high days have their downside too. The person proposes three shared projects in the same week and the others sign on; when the mood comes back down, the others find themselves alone with what the person started.

When the Solar Plexus is open, other people’s moods add to the person’s own: a gloomy condo board meeting is then enough to cast doubt on the whole garden.

For you, for others

For you

Undo nothing on a gray day: what you have built with others deserves a second look on a day when your mood has risen again.

For others

If a neighbor or a friend has this cross, do not look for what you did wrong on the days she goes quiet. Suggest doing something together; let her answer you at another time.

Frequently asked questions about the Left Angle Cross of Uncertainty

What is a low of the 55 worth as a verdict on a project?

It says nothing about the project. The mood of the 55 rises and falls without following events; a piece of work judged a failure in a low can seem right at the next rise, and it is comparing the two that tells you something.

What role would Gate 6 play alongside the 59?

It would regulate access. Located in the Solar Plexus, Gate 6, Friction, decides how much closeness the drive of the 59 gets; a bond formed through it tightens or loosens with the mood.

Does the 14 work to the rhythm of the 55’s moods?

Not on its own: its strength comes from the Sacral, the mood from the Solar Plexus. If the Solar Plexus is defined, though, it is the one that decides: work accepted on an enthusiastic day waits to be confirmed in a calm moment.

What does the other version of the Cross of Uncertainty bring?

A different gate in the lead: there, the 14 leads instead of the 8. Here, the contribution shows before the know-how that carries it; there, the know-how comes first and what it produces shows afterward.
