Pulling back from a decision, an agreement that lands before any discussion: the judgment arrives whole, the reasons later. In someone with this cross, this verdict sits alongside the strength to restore order to what a change has moved, and the patience to wait for that change to come.

The channel stays with the Earths

Between the two Earths, Gate 3 on the Personality side and Gate 60 on the Design side, the Channel of Mutation forms here: the Sacral is therefore always defined in this version. Gate 50, Values, at the Personality Sun, stays outside this channel; its center, the Spleen Center, is defined only if the chart brings it a channel, for example with its harmonic gate, Gate 27, Caring. This version of the Cross of Laws is a Right Angle cross; its meaning fits in two words: personal destiny.

The seasonal attendant

For the winter, the intermunicipal ice rink has to hire a seasonal front desk attendant. Sabine, a skating instructor, interviews the candidates with the manager. Within the first few minutes with the second one, she knows she wants to work with him; the third, better qualified, gives her only a slight sense of pulling back. The manager asks her why. She has no idea and says so. The team hires the second one. Nobody will ever know how the other would have worked out.

In January, with the new opening hours, management asks her to redo the entire class schedule. Nothing stirs in her. She declines; the manager hands the schedule to a colleague who wants to do it.

Deciding before the debate

When a group has to choose without waiting, Gate 50 gives it a first marker: an agreement or a pulling back that arrives before any comparison and holds for the situation of the moment.

This judgment concerns the moment; the rest of the cross gives it duration. Gate 3, Ordering, at the Personality Earth, puts back in order what a change has moved, on a yes from the gut. Gate 60, Acceptance, on the Design side, lets the dead times pass without the drive wearing itself out in protest.

Gate 56, Stimulation, at the Design Sun, passes on as a story what has been decided. A team understands what it expects of a colleague better by hearing how a hire was decided than by reading a list of criteria.

A pulling back without a plea

A group demands reasons, and the pulling back of the 50 does not supply any in the moment. It would be tempting to keep it quiet, or to make up an argument for the occasion; either way strips it of what it offered, a signal given before the debate.

Nor does this pulling back decide on its own. In every chart with this cross, the 3-60 defines the Sacral; if the Solar Plexus stays open, the response of the gut decides. The no of the 50 informs it without replacing it. With a defined Solar Plexus, it is Emotional Authority that decides.

For you, for others

For you

Voice your first agreement or your first refusal the moment it comes, even without an argument. Then, before committing to defend it, consult your authority. With an open Solar Plexus, that will be the response of your gut.

For others

A teammate who has this cross will sometimes tell you no without being able to explain it: take that no into account before the vote, and give her time to find her words, or not to find them.

Frequently asked questions about the Right Angle Cross of Laws

Is a refusal that was right in March still right in September?

Not necessarily. The Spleen Center judges the moment: the same proposal, coming back six months later in a different situation, can get an agreement. The story of past refusals, which the 56 keeps alive, helps compare them without turning them into laws.

When the gut decides, what room is left for the pulling back of the 50?

That of a warning. The 50 signals in the moment what fits or threatens; this information counts in the response of the gut without replacing it.

Does Gate 50 make the person the guardian of their group’s rules?

No. It judges each situation as it comes; its refusals from last year say nothing about tomorrow’s decision, and nothing asks it to make others respect them.

Is telling the story of a past decision the same as defending it?

Not necessarily. Gate 56 turns an experience into a story; everyone takes from it what they want. A story served up to make a colleague give in no longer serves anyone.
