Something new has just turned everything upside down: a baby, a piece of software, a business partner. Afterward, everything has to find its place again. That sorting takes energy; the person who takes it on finds that energy as soon as someone asks and their body has said yes.
The Sacral’s energy applied to sorting
Gate 3 can appear in a chart without its partner. It belongs to the Sacral, a motor that waits for a request from outside before it starts, and its energy takes a precise form there: putting back in order what a shock has disturbed, once the gut has responded.
With Gate 60, Acceptance, which sits in the Root, Gate 3 forms the 3-60, the Channel of Mutation. The Root brings its pressure, the Sacral the energy to put things in order.
This channel defines the Sacral: the chart then belongs to a Generator or a Manifesting Generator. On its own, the 3-60 makes a Generator who decides through the Sacral; if a 39-55 joins the chart, Authority shifts to the Solar Plexus, and so to the emotional wave.
After the change, the sorting
Sylvie’s physiotherapy practice switches to new appointment software in January. Her two partners grumble about the new screens. When the receptionist asks her for help, she feels her gut say yes, then spends her evenings refiling the patient records.
By the end of February, everyone can find their files again. No one saw the work being done.
For Malik, the new thing is a baby. The apartment is overflowing with boxes and gifts. He sorts one cupboard a night, at his own pace, until order returns room by room.
Between two changes, the gate stays quiet. Sylvie doesn’t tidy for the pleasure of it; she sorts what has moved.
What sorting makes possible
Those who share the office or the home benefit from the sorting without having seen it happen: once the new thing has been put in order, they use it without thinking. Gate 3 thus lets a change settle in instead of leaving lasting disorder behind it.
When the Sacral has responded, its energy is enough to see the sorting through without burning out. Ordering never runs short of work when Gate 60 completes the channel: the Channel of Mutation brings it new things to sort.
Sorting what no one entrusted to you
Sorting attracts requests, and not all of them go through the gut. A Generator agrees to reorganize a charity’s archives because no one else wants to take it on. He puts into it an energy his Sacral didn’t grant; the work drags on, then frustration arrives well before the last box.
When nothing is moving, the waiting weighs too. Someone with the 3-60 may start sorting already filed papers one more time to fill a calm that worries them. That kind of sorting responds to nothing: it puts order where nothing had changed.
For you, for others
For you
When you’re asked to put things back in order after a change, first listen to the sound or the movement of your gut. Sorting that has received its yes almost moves along by itself; the kind you agreed to out of politeness will cost you more.
For others
After an upheaval, offer someone close to you who has this gate one specific part of the sorting, a cupboard or a folder, rather than the whole job. Between two changes, their calm has nothing lazy about it.
Frequently asked questions about Gate 3: Ordering
Does Ordering require a tidy temperament?
No. The gate describes a sorting energy that starts up after a change, in response to the Sacral. A messy desk between two changes is no contradiction.
What does the Root have to do with this sorting?
It supplies the pressure. Gate 60, Acceptance, belongs to it; when it completes the channel with Gate 3, that pressure adds to the Sacral’s energy: the channel brings in new things that Gate 3 then takes care of sorting.
Does the change have to be chosen for Gate 3 to start sorting?
No. A reorganization decided by others or a birth awaited for months calls for the same work. What matters is the Sacral’s response to the request to sort, not where the upheaval came from.
Between two changes, is the gate still useful?
It stays in the chart, with little to sort. Nothing requires you to find it a job: the Sacral waits for whatever will call on it.
