Within a close circle, some things are done and others are not. These rules pass first through the emotional wave, then take a form that can be repeated, and prove themselves in everyday work.

Mood and strength from elsewhere

The 49 in the Solar Plexus and the 14 in the Sacral sit in two motors, with no gate of the cross completing either one. Mood and strength therefore depend on the rest of the chart: a defined Solar Plexus gives the rules of the 49 their own wave, an open Solar Plexus lends them the wave of others.

The angle of this cross is the Juxtaposition, the angle of fixed fate and the bridge between the Right Angle and the Left Angle.

The birthday kitty

At the engineering firm, the birthday kitty has followed a rule from Kenza for four years: the same amount for everyone, boss included.

She proposed it the day an embarrassed intern asked in a low voice how much he was supposed to give.

The rest of what she holds to be fair shows in her work.

She redraws her wiring diagrams until she likes them, whole evenings when the project interests her, barely what is needed when it bores her.

Rules kept, rules shown

Those close to the person know what to expect: the 49 sets the rules after the wave; the 4, at the Earth, gives them a form short enough to remember.

The Design brings proof through the work. The 14 turns working energy into skill on the tasks that have received a yes; the 8 shows this skill to others, who pick it up.

When the principle hardens

A rule set at the bottom of the wave tends to punish. It comes out short and sharp thanks to the 4, which makes it harder to challenge and slower to withdraw.

On the skill side, the 14 has its trap: on a task accepted without a response from the gut, the energy drags; the person ends up defending as a rule what was only a habit taken on out of duty.

For you, for others

For you

Propose your rules once calm has returned, asking yourself each time what need they answer: one that no longer serves any need can go.

For others

What a colleague with this cross holds to be fair shows in their work before they say it. When they announce a rule, ask them what need it serves; if that need has changed, the rule can change too.

Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Principles

Why do the rules of this cross fit in one sentence?

The 49 sets the rule; the 4, at the Earth, knows how to give it a repeatable form. Clarity does not guarantee rightness: a short sentence can also voice a passing mood.

Does Gate 19 change these principles?

It ties them to needs. Located in the Root, the 19, Wanting, is the harmonic gate of the 49; together they make up the Channel of Synthesis. The Solar Plexus is then defined, and each rule answers a need that someone close expresses.

Do these principles concern society as a whole?

They are meant for a close circle: a team, a family, a group of friends. The 49 says nothing about a cause to defend in front of everyone.

Can a principle of this cross come from someone else’s mood?

Yes, with an open Solar Plexus: the 49 picks up the surrounding mood there, and a proposed rule can express someone else’s anger. When defined, this center makes the person wait for the end of their own wave.
