A family, a team or a neighborhood that owns something in common needs someone to say how to keep it: that is where the voice starts. It relies on a value defended without hedging and moves through moods that rise and fall.

Two gates in the same center

On the Design side, the 36 and the 6 share the Solar Plexus; neither forms a channel with a gate of the cross. This center is defined only by a channel formed elsewhere; when defined, it gives the whole chart an emotional authority, and the agreement proposed by Gate 45, the Gatherer, then follows the rhythm of the wave. The Juxtaposition, the angle of the cross, is described for its part as a fixed fate.

The roof of the house in the Cévennes

The roof of the family house has been leaking for two winters, and every family gathering ends in the same argument: who pays, who takes care of it, should they sell.

At Easter lunch, Fantine, the youngest of the granddaughters, lays a one-page sheet on the table: a joint account, a fixed sum per household each month; the house remains the property of everyone who pays in. Before coffee, eight households out of eleven have signed.

An aunt finds the sum too high. Fantine explains to her what the house means for the children of the family, without changing anything in the proposal.

She keeps the roof accounts on a spreadsheet everyone can look at, without bringing it up at the table unless someone asks her.

Keeping together what you own

What a group owns in common gets lost when nobody says how to keep it. The 45, at the Personality Sun, puts an agreement into words; Gate 26, the Egoist, at the Earth, defends it in front of those who find it too expensive.

Two Design gates, Gate 36, Crisis, and Gate 6, Friction, give time to what is being decided. One takes desire through lows that call nothing into question; the other lets each person come closer at their own pace, so that those who join do so without having been pressured.

The one who keeps the accounts

The loyalty of a 4/1 can keep the person at the head of an agreement for years after the role has stopped suiting her; nobody dares to take it back from her, and she does not dare to give it up.

An open Solar Plexus absorbs the climate of a dinner table: an uncle’s anger becomes hers until evening; a decision made that evening was not hers either.

The friction of the 6, set to a low mood, can shut the door on a brother-in-law over one remark too many: the group loses a member over a bad day.

For you, for others

For you

Hand the account over to someone else every other year, then see whether the agreement holds without your voice.

For others

A cousin with this cross proposes an agreement to you: answer her within the week, whatever the answer. And tell her frankly what you cannot pay in, instead of keeping quiet.

Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Possession

Does an agreement proposed by the 45 bind those who did not want it?

It invites them. The 45 speaks for a group while leaving each person free to join; an agreement imposed on those who did not want it loses the force that brought the others together.

Where does the firmness with which the person defends an agreement come from?

From Gate 26: it knows the value of what it supports and states it plainly. The firmness is about the proposal, not about the people.

Does a family meeting held on a low day jeopardize the agreement?

Not the agreement itself, which holds by what it is worth. If the Solar Plexus owes its definition to a channel outside the cross, it is the way of presenting it that follows the wave: better to propose it once the wave has passed, when the person’s view has not shifted from one moment to the next.

Which channels can define the Solar Plexus for someone with this cross?

Three paths are possible: the Channel of Transitoriness when Gate 35 joins the 36; the Channel of Intimacy when Gate 59 joins the 6; or a channel outside the cross, such as the Channel of Synthesis, numbered 19-49.
