Tuesdays, on the way to the hospital
Every Tuesday, the same passenger gets into the taxi for his dialysis session. He tells Séraphine the story of his brother who went to work in Argentina, never with the same ending. She has never corrected him or hurried him. One Tuesday in February, he went all the way to the end, then fell silent for the rest of the ride.
The day the bridge leading to the station closed for repairs, the detour came to her all at once, through the light industrial zone and along the tanners’ quay. She gave it in one sentence to the drivers at the taxi stand; they all took it that very evening.
An ear and words
Gate 13 makes the person a place where people leave a story in passing, with no appointment and nothing expected in return, a place where they can go all the way to the end.
What the 43 has seen, at the Design Sun, finds its words through the 23: a complete solution, stated clearly enough for others to take it as it is. Listening and speaking come from different gates; one takes nothing away from the other.
When a group is looking for its way, it can again entrust its route to this person, through the 7 at the Personality Earth.
A solution before the story ends
With a ready-made solution at hand, the temptation exists to answer a confidence with an idea no one asked for. In a Projector’s chart, this unsolicited answer cuts the story short and leaves bitterness on both sides.
What the person hears does not find, in the cross, the path their ideas find. Those close to them know their solutions without suspecting everything they have received; they may end up believing the person has nothing to say about themselves.

How many confidences can one person receive?
No number is set. The gate describes a disposition to receive, not a bottomless reserve: when fatigue sets in, saying no is part of listening.
Does an idea of Gate 43 come out of a confidence?
Not according to the cross, in which the 13 forms no channel with the 43. A solution can be reminiscent of a story heard without being drawn from it.
Does the person’s direction depend on the people around them?
When the G Center is open, yes: it adjusts to the people they spend time with. The listening of the 13, for its part, stays the same either way.
Does the person have to keep what is confided to them?
Nothing in the cross commits them to it. The 13 receives; holding on to things and keeping quiet belong to other gates. Whoever wants silence does well to ask for it.
