The person with this cross does not tune their behavior to approval; their eye spots the flaw in an organization before knowing how to demonstrate it. What they have seen waits, before being said, for the facts that Gate 17 knows how to gather.

Two gates that judge, no channel

At birth, this cross places two gates in the G Center, the 10 and the 15; on the Design side, two gates that judge, the 18 in the Spleen Center and the 17 in the Ajna. No pair joins into a channel in this Juxtaposition, whose meaning, in Human Design, is a fixed fate.

Present elsewhere in the chart, Gate 62, Detail, the 17’s harmonic gate, would form with it the Channel of Acceptance, all the way to the Throat: the opinion would arrive fully formed, details included, without this channel supplying the means to put it into practice.

The bags of cement

The new shelf plan arrives from headquarters on a Monday: in this hardware store, the thirty-five-kilo bags of cement are moving up to the top shelf. Dorian, a salesman in the masonry aisle, sees right away that it will not work; he even sees where: at the height of a customer’s arms as they pull the bag toward them.

That day, he says nothing. For three weeks, he notes the bags that fall, the customers who ask for help, the time lost fetching the pallet jack; he waits until he has the facts in hand before bringing it up, first with the department manager he has worked with for nine years. The file goes up to headquarters with the manager’s signature; the bags come back down to floor level.

A flaw that arrives with its proof

What catches in an organization is seen quickly and stated solidly.

The 18, at the Design Sun, spots the place; the 17, at the Earth, turns it into reasoning whose every step can be checked. A finding presented this way can be discussed point by point, and those who receive it can take it up without its author.

The 10 takes care of the person’s side: they act as they are, without adjusting themselves to get the finding across.

The 15 takes care of the others’ side. It keeps the correction on the object, without judging the pace of slow or hurried colleagues.

Other people’s behavior

When the G Center stays open, the behavior of the 10 looks for its model in others. The person who did not want to please anyone ends up acting like the most self-assured colleague, no longer recognizing, in their own way of doing things, what comes from them.

Acceptance and correction can also get in each other’s way. Letting everyone go at their own pace is one thing; keeping quiet about a flaw in a colleague’s work so as not to offend them is another: the tolerance aimed at people then ends up covering for the work.

For you, for others

For you

Set yourself a threshold of proof before you start looking, and speak up when you reach it. The first place your eye stopped counts as much as the file that confirms it.

For others

With a teammate born with this cross, ask for his opinion well before the deadline, then discuss the flaw he points out without bringing his way of being into the discussion.

Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Behavior

Does the 10 make a person stubborn?

Consistent in their manner, not closed to facts. A demonstrated flaw changes their mind about the object; a remark about their way of being does not change their way of being.

Can the 18 be wrong?

It judges the present moment, and nothing guarantees that its verdict will still hold the following week. In this cross, the 17 offers the means to check it before defending it.

Why does such a solid finding take so long to come?

Because the 17 builds it step by step. The 18 saw the spot on the very first day; the demonstration requires facts, and the facts require weeks.

Does a demonstrated flaw have to be fixed by the person who saw it?

Not necessarily. The cross describes an eye and a demonstration; getting involved in the repair is a decision, which falls to the authority of the chart.
