The project has been halted and the decision will come from elsewhere; the drive stays intact without trying to force its way through. This patience keeps the pressure in reserve for the moment when everything starts up again.

Consenting to the standstill

Acceptance, the name of Gate 60, takes on its meaning in the rhythm of its channel. Elsewhere, accepting can mean resigning yourself; here, it means welcoming a standstill without fighting it, because the movement will resume.

The gate belongs to the Root, a motor that exerts physical pressure and fuels the Sacral. It is precisely in the Sacral that Gate 3, Ordering, is found; the channel that joins them is called the Channel of Mutation. In this 3-60, two connected motors move forward in pulses: long pauses, then abrupt restarts.

Waiting without wearing yourself out

Since two departments merged, Christophe’s project has been frozen. He handles maintenance and answers requests, without chasing his management every Monday. His colleagues take this calm for lack of interest; yet the drive hasn’t weakened, it is waiting for a signal from outside to reopen the way.

Lisa is waiting for a building permit for the barn she wants to turn into a studio. The application is complete; the town hall is taking its time. She keeps painting in her kitchen, on a table that is too small, without counting the days.

The day management offers Christophe a new tool to build, he accepts within the hour. When it is delivered, the tool has nothing in common with the old one.

Holding on during the pause

With this gate, you can get through a still period without wearing yourself out fighting it. The drive is not lost, though: the Root keeps it, and the gate lets it wait.

The complete 3-60 makes the standstill lead to real change; the accumulated pressure finds in the Sacral the energy for the restart, which carries far.

When accepting turns into staying

Acceptance can last longer than the standstill. A Generator whose gut has said yes to a new offer can stay in their old job out of a habit of waiting; frustration, the signal of their Type, sets in instead of change.

A Projector chart can contain Gate 60, provided Gate 3 is not there. This Type’s Strategy already asks them to wait for an invitation, and the gate makes this waiting easier to live with.

The same gate can also make this Projector miss an invitation they have received, because they didn’t notice that the pause was over.

Accepting a limit only applies to limits that exist. A refusal from management, a pending application are real; a prohibition nobody has pronounced, and that the person imposes on themselves, does not call for the same patience.

For you, for others

For you

During a pause, ask yourself from time to time whether it is still going on: an offer you received recently may already have lifted it. Your patience serves the movement, it doesn’t replace it.

For others

For a colleague with this gate, calm during a slow period has nothing to do with discouragement. Bring her concrete proposals instead of asking her how things are going: a request gets her moving again more surely than a reminder.

Frequently asked questions about Gate 60: Acceptance

Does the Channel of Acceptance go through Gate 60?

No, despite the similar names. The Channel of Acceptance is 17-62, between the Ajna and the Throat. Gate 60 only enters 3-60, the Channel of Mutation.

For Gate 60, does accepting amount to resigning yourself?

No. The gate welcomes a standstill without giving up on movement: the pressure of the Root remains whole, ready for the restart.

What brings the waiting to an end?

In a chart with 3-60, it is a response from the Sacral to something concrete: an order, a proposal, a question someone asks. Without the channel, it is the Strategy of the chart’s Type that says when to act.

Why does change arrive all at once?

The 3-60 works in pulses: long still phases, then a restart that sweeps everything along. The pressure held back during the pause is then released with the energy of the Sacral.
