- Beneath the Eagle’s vision, the World-Bridger knows that every height reached requires the death of what came before: true vision includes what must be left behind.

The Eagle sees everything: why does that isolate it?
Because seeing the whole picture is not living inside it. It sees the shape of what is happening while others deal with the immediate, and that gap creates distance. Small talk costs it more than it costs others: it sees too much to feel comfortable there. So, little by little, it rises above. Not out of arrogance, but to save its energy. Until the day it looks at its own life with perfect clarity, and takes part in it less and less.
How do you recognize an Eagle that has stopped coming down?
It has a precise opinion on everything, solid analyses, a reading of situations no one around it can dispute. But nothing really touches it. It speaks with an accuracy that impresses and a neutrality that unsettles. You feel you are talking to someone very intelligent, and barely present.
What does the Eagle miss when it refuses to commit?
The friction that builds something. Committing, to a relationship, a project, a community, means accepting being in the fog, not seeing the whole picture for a while. The Eagle avoids that: it prefers flying over, where the shape is clear. But what has value is built from the inside, not from above.
The Serpent is the Eagle’s Antipode: what does this tension say about its relationship with the body?
The Serpent lives in sensations, instinct, the intelligence of the body. The Eagle lives in vision, perspective, what can be seen from afar. An Eagle that has not made peace with its Antipode often treats its body like a vehicle: it either runs or it doesn’t, it is either useful or in the way. It spends years in its head and finds itself cut off from signals the Serpent reads instinctively.
