Kin 145: Red Lunar Serpent
Dreamspell
145of 260
Faced with resistance, the Lunar Serpent wakes up.
A tough negotiation, an opponent at tennis, someone contradicting you around the table: your body mobilizes and your reflexes sharpen. It is in a contest of strength that you discover what you really think. Conversely, a period that is too quiet makes you sluggish; sensations dull, and you no longer quite know where you stand.
The catch is that the Serpent’s instinct treats any opposition as an alarm. Your tone needs the other side to locate itself; your seal reads that same other side as a threat to neutralize. There you are, wanting the opponent and wanting to bring them down in the same movement. You sometimes win the confrontation and lose what it was supposed to teach you about your own position.
What would your next opponent teach you if your body stopped taking them for a danger?
Your guide, the Red Earth, moves forward through centering and synergy. With it, the Lunar Serpent can look at friction differently: as a shared movement in which two forces adjust to each other, not as a fight in which one must disappear. With a steady axis, you can stay in the tension long enough for it to inform you, without your body switching into defense. The Earth also shows you, through the sequence of events, when a face-off has given what it had to give.
