Galactic tone

In the wavespell: day 3
Kin with this tone: 20
Guide: 4 seals ahead, in the same color

The tone 3 row: 20 Kin out of 260

Your tone: Electric

You light up when you contribute: service is your source of energy. The more you give to something real, the more energy you generate. Working only for yourself drains you.

Its influence on your seal

With the Electric tone, your seal is activated by contribution. Its gift doesn’t open in isolation, but when you put it in service of something larger than yourself. Service is not a moral obligation for you: it is the mechanism that makes everything work.

The 20 Kin of tone 3

Tone 3 comes back every 13 days and meets each of the 20 seals once in the cycle. For each of these Kin, the guide is 4 seals ahead, in the same color.

Frequently asked questions about the Electric tone

Why is tone 3’s energy called conditional?

Because it only exists in a circuit. A tone 3 that works only for itself, without it serving something or someone, quickly runs empty. This is not altruism, it is physics: electricity only flows if the circuit is closed.

What sets tone 3 apart from tones 1 and 2?

The first two tones work on themselves: one anchors, the other stabilizes. Tone 3 is the first to step outside itself toward something else. That is where the dynamic of service that runs through the whole cycle begins.

What does tone 3 look like at its most difficult?

It serves out of obligation rather than drive. A tone 3 convinced it must be useful to everyone, all the time, no longer lights up: it burns out. What separates service that nourishes from service that drains is a real choice, not good intentions.
