A small organization that moves up a level every two or three years, without ever risking what it has already built. The urge to rise advances at the pace of a steady pressure, and each stage that opens has time to mature; instinct sets aside the one that would put the whole in danger.
A pressure known for a long time
The two pairs of gates of this cross each form a channel, so the Root, the Sacral and the Spleen Center are defined in every chart that contains it. A defined Root gives a constant pressure, one the person has grown up with: Gate 54, Ambition, like Gate 53, Beginnings, does not wait for other people’s agitation to show itself; their intensity stays roughly the same from one season to the next.
The museum glasses
A glassworks of six glassblowers, taken over as a cooperative by its employees, has spent ten years making carafes and glasses for the region’s tables.
Yohan was the first to suggest bidding on a tender from a museum looking for copies of antique glasses. No one in the workshop had ever worked to that degree of precision; the decision took three meetings.
The job lasted two years. Yohan followed every batch, from the first misshapen glasses to the hundred and twenty pieces delivered, at the pace of a furnace that could not be hurried.
At the next meeting, another museum was offering an order twice as big. Yohan said right away that he would take only half of it. The partners voted in favor, five to one.
Moving up a level without losing anything
An organization can climb one notch without putting itself in danger. The 54 proposes the step; Gate 32, Continuity, at the Design Sun, checks at first contact that it does not weaken what already holds, and the order that is too big is brought back down to what can last.
Gate 42, Growth, then carries each level through until it has given what it held, if the gut accepted it. That level was opened by the 53, at the Personality Earth, as a fresh start.
Over the years, the whole traces a series of stages that held, each one finished before the next begins.
One person’s pace, everyone’s urgency
A defined Root gets used to its own pressure, to the point of no longer noticing the pressure it imposes. In a workshop where others have an open Root, the person’s pace becomes everyone’s urgency. Fatigue then shows up in those who had not chosen it.
The 42 gives the means to last; it does not give the desire. A stage carried through because it was promised, when the gut no longer backs it, moves a little more slowly with every firing, and the satisfaction expected at delivery does not come.
For you, for others
For you
Propose the next step when the current one has given what it held, then see, as soon as it shows up, whether it puts something in danger.
For others
Your business partner was born with this cross: present him with one step at a time; let him scale back an offer that is too big without demanding proof. He will carry it through if his gut said yes.
Frequently asked questions about the Left Angle Cross of Cycles
Does the Left Angle make ambition a group affair?
It says nothing about each step. The Left Angle refers to transpersonal karma; it also points to people whose purpose needs the presence of others to come to fruition.
Does a constant pressure end up wearing you out?
It wears you out when it discharges everywhere at once. Channeled toward a step the gut has accepted, it gives the means to get going each day and finish what was started; scattered over everything that comes along, it has you running without a goal.
Is a bigger offer better than a small one?
The 32 does not look at size. It judges whether a deal is sound at the moment it appears, and an order that would double a workshop’s workload may not be, whatever its price.
How much does the warning of the 32 weigh when the gut has said yes?
It can flag a danger the gut does not see. The decision belongs to the Sacral, unless the Solar Plexus is defined. The warning of the 32 informs it, and a response given with that warning in mind holds up better.
