A chosen piece of work absorbs all the attention, and what it teaches is passed on by being shown. Two pressures from the Head accompany this work: a checking that never lets go and old scenes waiting for their meaning.

Two Head gates, no channel

The 64, Confusion, and the 63, Doubt, are both on the Design side and both in the Head. The 64’s harmonic gate is Gate 47, Realization, and the 63’s is Gate 4, Formulization, both outside the cross.

No channel therefore arises from these four gates; on its own, the cross defines no center. A definition in the Sacral, the Throat or the Head can only come from the rest of the chart.

As for the angle, this is the Left Angle, tied to transpersonal karma. The purpose of people with this angle, for its part, requires the presence of others in order to be fulfilled.

A 1950 touring bike

Tanguy restores vintage bicycles in a space the town lends him. One Saturday, someone brings him a 1950 touring bike with a creaking crankset; he spends the whole day on it; the sandwich he had brought goes home untouched in his bag.

The owner, who stayed to watch, asks him what he should keep an eye on. Tanguy has him touch the chain and tells him just one thing: when it leaves a gray mark on your fingers, it is time to clean it. He could not have written that on the bike’s tag; in front of the chain, the sentence comes on its own.

Tested before being adopted

Work the gut has chosen is seen through, then whoever is watching retains the detail that matters: the 9 and the 16 make each piece of work an opportunity to pass something on. The 63 adds a demand, since whatever passes for settled has to hold up under examination before it is adopted.

The 64 gives memories time to yield their meaning, without forcing them to connect. Sometimes it is an unexpected link, in the course of a conversation, that sheds light on one of them.

Borrowed doubts

An open Head picks up the doubts of the people around and magnifies them. The 63 seizes on them: a worry voiced at the club about the condition of a frame is enough for a whole evening to go into taking apart a bike that was perfectly fine.

The 64 is subject to this pressure too. Giving a memory an explanation too quickly saddles it with a story it does not confirm; left open, it can still meet whatever will shed light on it.

Finally, doubt can turn toward the gut’s answer. A Sacral yes to a proposed restoration waits for proof that it will be the right choice; the proof does not come, and the bike goes to someone else.

For you, for others

For you

When you are about to start checking something, ask yourself whether the doubt comes from you or from someone near you: yours deserves the evening, the other can wait until someone asks you.

For others

A workshop neighbor who has this cross rechecks what you put forward: it is the idea he is examining. Ask him your questions over the work itself, where his answers come to him.

Frequently asked questions about the Left Angle Cross of Identification

Are doubt and confusion flaws?

Neither one passes judgment on the person. The 63 wants an idea to hold up under examination; the 64 describes images still waiting for their meaning. One looks for proof, the other gives meaning time to arrive.

Does Gate 47 change anything about the memories?

It gives them a place. With the 64, Gate 47, Realization, forms the Channel of Abstraction, which defines the Head and the Ajna: the scenes that resurface can then take shape there, sometimes long after the events.

Does everything have to be rechecked before being passed on?

The 63 targets the question at hand, not everything you know. An adjustment made a hundred times is shown as it is; it is the new claim, the figure accepted without examination, that calls for checking.

Does Gate 4 give doubt a way out?

It gives it a form. With the 63, Gate 4, Formulization, makes up the Channel of Logic, which defines the Head and the Ajna: the question then leads to a clear explanation that can be passed on.
