A long piece of work is carried through to its last stage, among friends who have followed it since the first day. Instinct checks at each milestone that it is still sound, constraints are taken as they come, and the episodes of the project end up as stories.
Stories made of lived experience
Gate 56, Stimulation, is without its harmonic gate, Gate 11, Ideas. Without the Channel of Curiosity, its stories come from lived experience; here, the stages of a piece of work that lasts for years give it plenty to tell.
The Juxtaposition, for its part, follows a fixed fate; its other trait is being a bridge between the Right Angle and the Left Angle.
Six winters for a sailboat
An eight-meter wooden sailboat, bought for a token euro, has filled a shed for six winters. Orlane is restoring it with two childhood friends; she said yes the evening they suggested it to her, with no estimate and no plan.
She carries each stage through to the end, the keel, the planking, the deck, without skipping one.
When one of the friends wanted to install the engine before the planking was finished, she flatly refused: at that point, carrying on that way did not seem sound to her.
A boat that is still chosen
Gate 42, Growth, carries the accepted work to maturity; Gate 32, Continuity, checks at each milestone that it is still sound. The sailboat moves forward because it keeps being chosen, not because it was started.
Gate 60, Acceptance, takes a constraint as a given and not as an affront; the drive shifts to what is still possible. The 56 turns the episodes of the project into stories that those who lived them recognize.
A refusal you gave yourself
The 60 accepts limits. But someone has to have actually set them: giving up on launching the boat because a permit would probably be refused, without having applied for it, amounts to bowing to a refusal that no one has made.
An open Sacral gives the 42 no reserve of its own. The project then moves forward on the energy of the two friends, and the fatigue shows once the boat is in the water, when nothing carries it anymore.
For you, for others
For you
For a piece of work that will take several years, let your gut’s response lead the way and your instinct confirm it at each stage.
For others
A friend with this cross gives her opinion on the project once she has studied it, and first to those who have followed it from the start, as her 4/1 profile would have it. Involve her early in the stages that commit all of you.
Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Completion
Does a project lasting several years suit this cross?
Yes. The 42 holds the middle of a cycle, the time when something accepted grows. A short project ends before it has matured; a long project gives the gate time to do its work.
Can you abandon a project you have started?
Yes. The constancy of the 42 depends on the gut’s response; when that fades, the 32 signals it at the next milestone. Telling your partners early saves them from counting on a drive that is no longer there.
What are stories from the project good for?
Keeping alive what has been done. The 56 gives the stages the shape of a story; those who listen remember the story, and with it what it carried.
Who starts the cycle that the 42 brings to completion?
Gate 53, Beginnings, in the Root, when a chart contains it: together with the 42 it then forms the Channel of Maturation. Without it, the impulse to begin comes from a request from outside, to which the gut responds.
