In someone with this cross, what the gut responds becomes a sentence or a gesture right away, whether yes or no. Alongside this liveliness, a mood rises and falls at its own pace; the desire to found something with someone looks for bonds that last.
The Sacral connected to the Throat from birth
The two Personality positions are enough to form the Channel of Charisma: in every chart with this version, Gate 20, the Now, joins Gate 34, Power. The Sacral is connected to the Throat there; each of these charts therefore belongs to a Manifesting Generator, whatever the rest contains.
Authority, for its part, is decided outside the cross. The 55 and the 59 do not find their harmonic gates in it: Gate 39, the Provocateur, would join the 55 from the Root, and Gate 6, Friction, would join the 59.
Either one, present elsewhere in the chart, defines the Solar Plexus; the decision then waits for the end of the wave. When no channel defines this center, it is the Sacral’s response that decides. As for the Right Angle, it is described as a personal destiny.
A contract turned down beside the water heater
Raphaël, a plumber, is called out for a broken water heater in an office building. While he takes the unit apart, the property manager describes a maintenance contract for all six floors. Raphaël hears him out, gives him a calm no and passes him the name of a fellow plumber.
The water heater is running again within the hour. As he puts away his wrenches, he explains to the building superintendent, in whatever words come to him, how to drain the unit next time; the superintendent copies the steps onto the back of an invoice.
Since the winter, he has been talking with a heating technician from the neighborhood about taking over a workshop together. One month, he brings it up at every lunch; the next month, not a word, without any job explaining this silence.
A yes or a no that does not linger
A request gets its answer while it is still being made: a clear refusal, which leaves the other person time to look elsewhere, or work that begins. The 20 sets the moment, the 34 supplies the energy, and the Channel of Charisma passes one into the other without delay.
The words that go with the gesture are as useful as the gesture. Said on the spot, an explanation arrives at the moment the other person can use it, not a week later in a letter no one will read.
Acting before informing
Between the response and the act, a step gets skipped: informing. Manifesting Generators are often advised to inform the people concerned before acting, once their Sacral has responded; Raphaël has been known to shut off the water to an entire floor without the building management knowing.
Held back in the middle of a job, he feels anger rising, the one that often piles on top of this Type’s frustration. A sentence said on arrival, about what he is going to do, keeps him from being stopped along the way.
With a defined Solar Plexus, the speed of the channel runs up against an authority that asks for time. Taking over the workshop with the heating technician on an upbeat day would commit Raphaël for years, before his mood has come full circle.
For you, for others
For you
Tell those your action concerns, in one sentence, what you are going to do, then do it. A refusal that comes to you on the spot is better said right away than the next day.
For others
When this cross belongs to a tradesman or a coworker, ask him a yes-or-no question, in person, and expect an immediate answer. His no is an answer, not a fit of temper.
Frequently asked questions about the Right Angle Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix
Do the words of Gate 20 come from the gut?
In this cross, yes. The 20 decides the moment; what it says or does comes here from the Sacral, to which the Channel of Charisma connects it: a gut response, given on the spot.
Can a refusal come out as fast as a yes?
Yes, and it had better. The channel provides what it takes to act right away, even without a gut response; a no said before the first move avoids a task carried through to the end without any desire.
Where does the desire to partner up come from in this cross?
From Gate 59, Sexuality, at the Design Earth. Its drive goes beyond attraction: it pushes to found, to partner up, to build bonds that hold with someone. It draws on the same Sacral energy as work.
Does preparing your sentences in advance help?
Not much. The 20 finds its words in the situation, and a text learned by heart is of little use when the situation arrives. Better to know your subject and let the moment supply the sentences.
