The same gestures come back at the same hours, and it is within this order that the work moves forward. A new urge does not overturn it: it enters after being voiced, then weighed at length.
Two crossed harmonic gates
This Juxtaposition of fixed fate places Gate 35, Change, in the Throat and Gate 22, Openness, in the Solar Plexus. Each has its harmonic gate in the other’s center.
With Gate 36, Crisis, elsewhere in the chart, the 35 would enter the Channel of Transitoriness: the urge to try would be voiced almost at once, and only the wave would put time between the word and the deed. With Gate 12, Caution, the 22 would form the Channel of Openness, where speech follows mood. Either one would define the Throat and the Solar Plexus.
The recycling center at eight
The recycling center opens at eight. At ten to eight, Donatien has already made the round of the skips, always by the same route: rubble, wood, metal, cardboard. The days of the week have theirs too: counts on Monday, cleaning the platform on Friday.
For two years, he has been talking about going to see how glass is sorted in the Faroe Islands. The project comes back during breaks, more and more precise: a ferry, a season, a sorting center whose layout he now knows.
On the Saturday of a big neighborhood flea market, he is in a mood to welcome people. He helps a family unload a wardrobe, explains the skips to newcomers, keeps a retiree back to show him the furniture set aside.
What habit carries
Thanks to the 5, nothing has to be decided again every morning: what has been accepted comes back at its hour; the day starts already in motion. The 35, at the Earth, keeps a window open in this order: the urge to be elsewhere gets voiced and grows more precise from one break to the next, without the morning’s work suffering.
On days when the mood rises, the 22 warms the welcome. The 47 suddenly makes sense of episodes left hanging, without anyone being able to hurry that moment.
When the order comes from elsewhere
A change imposed from outside costs more than the added task. The skip rotation brought forward one Friday evening threw Donatien’s next two weeks into disarray; told a month earlier, he would have built it in.
An open Solar Plexus absorbs the mood of the visitors. One argument in front of the rubble skip, and a stranger’s anger stays with Donatien until evening before he realizes it was not his.
A 4/1 only speaks up once their foundations are solid, and those close to them are the first to hear; a trip can thus remain a break-time topic for years, as long as the research is not finished.
For you, for others
For you
Defend the schedule that keeps you moving forward and ask to be told in advance about changes that concern you. An urge that has been coming back for a long time deserves a date.
For others
A neighbor with this cross copes badly with last-minute changes: tell him early and let him choose the day.
Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Habits
Do holidays break the rhythm of the 5?
Not necessarily. The gate asks for an order that comes back around, not one that stays the same all year; holidays with a cadence of their own can respect it.
Why is an upended schedule so tiring?
Because the 5 works within an order that comes back around. When it disappears, it has to be rebuilt. Advance notice gives time to fold the change in instead of enduring it.
Does the welcome vary from one day to the next?
Yes. The 22, on the Design side, follows a mood that rises and falls. A low day says nothing about the person being welcomed; it says where the wave is.
Is this cross connected to the Channel of Rhythm?
It holds one half of it, the 5; the other, Gate 15, Extremes, in the G Center, is missing from the cross and has to be found elsewhere in the chart. The 5-15 then defines the Sacral and the G Center, and the cadence of the 5 rests on working energy available every day.
