Living something new begins with a sentence spoken aloud, well before the slightest preparation. Between the sentence and the departure comes the study; after the return, the story told to those who heard the first sentence.

A mood that weighs on the decision

The 22, Openness, sits in the Solar Plexus, the seat of the emotional wave. When this center is defined, it goes to the top of the order of authorities: an urge the 35 voiced on a day of enthusiasm waits, before becoming a decision, for the wave to pass.

This delay takes nothing away from the urge. It simply separates the spoken sentence, which does not yet commit anyone, from the decision made once the mood has gone through both its rise and its fall.

A trip to the Carpathians

In the staff room of the agricultural high school, the librarian says one morning that she would like to take a class to see mountain farms in the Carpathians. She has prepared nothing; the words are out, and two colleagues look up.

For four months, Élodie reads reports from other schools, writes to the farms, asks two former colleagues what went wrong on their trips. The file she hands the principal leaves nothing to chance.

When they return, the students write a travel journal. She gives a copy, in person, to the two colleagues who had looked up that first morning.

What remains of an experience

With the 35, the urge for a new experience turns into words, and what has been said begins to exist. The 5, at the Earth, meanwhile keeps the order of the days: the library opens at the same hours while Élodie prepares the trip.

When the mood carries it, the 22 gives shared experiences their warmth.

Later, the 47 turns an experience that remained confused into understanding. Nothing sets the delay or shortens it.

Enthusiasm and study

The 35 announces early, and the study that follows takes months: in between, the people around may think a promise has been forgotten. Making clear that an idea put forward is not yet a proposal avoids the misunderstanding.

With an open Solar Plexus, the enthusiasm of a staff room can lead the person to accept a second trip that would not have held up in a calmer moment.

For a 4/1, study comes before speech, and what they know circulates first among the people close to them: a project presented outside this circle can seem to come out of nowhere.

For you, for others

For you

Talk about your urges for new experience while making clear that they are not yet commitments, then study them before turning them into a proposal.

For others

A colleague with this cross may put forward a travel idea without a written plan. Do not judge her on that sentence. Wait for the plan: it will come, fully checked.

Frequently asked questions about the Juxtaposition Cross of Experience

Can the study end up extinguishing the urge?

It delays it without extinguishing it. The 35 has already made the urge exist by voicing it; the study gives it a form others can follow, and the chart’s authority decides at the end.

Can a recent experience already make sense?

Nothing sets the delay. The 47 understands when a detail links episodes together; for a trip taken last week, that detail may not be there yet.

What separates this cross from the Cross of Habits?

The starting point. This cross starts from the 35, an urge for experience spoken aloud, while the Cross of Habits starts from the rhythm of the 5. Both are Juxtaposition crosses, an angle associated with fixed fate.

Can you enjoy staying home with this cross?

Yes. A new experience can fit in a garden, a recipe or a language learned in the evenings; the 35 does not require going far away.
