An image arrives during an ordinary task, then another; none of them asks to be carried out. What gets said about them comes out later, when a conversation falls silent; drive and bonds, for their part, rise and fall with the mood.
A Throat within reach of three gates
The four gates sit in the Ajna, the Throat and the Solar Plexus, and no pair forms a channel: on its own, the cross defines no center. The Throat nevertheless holds a special place in it. Two gates of the cross have their harmonic gate there: Gate 56, Stimulation, for the 11; Gate 35, Change, for the 36. The 12, for its part, sits there. A chart that contains the 56 gives the images an outlet in stories; with the 35, the desire of the 36 translates straight away into words or actions. As for the angle, the Right Angle, it denotes a personal destiny.
The maps from 1830
At the land registry office, a project to digitize old maps was looking for a volunteer; Katia put herself forward the same day, delighted. Three months later, the enthusiasm has left her: the sheets all look alike, the scanner overheats; nothing about the work has changed. She keeps going, without mentioning it, one map after another. The day the last one is digitized, she notices that the enthusiasm never came back and that the work is good all the same.
During those weeks, images keep flowing: a walk that would follow the boundaries of vanished fields, a map where every street would bear the name of the old plot. She does nothing with them. One lunchtime, a colleague bent over a map from 1830 wonders aloud what could be done with it; she describes the walk, just for the pleasure of it, then goes back to her scanner.
Ideas that cost nothing
The 11 supplies images with no strings attached, and the 12 chooses the moment to say them: what comes out responds to an opening that was offered, not to an obligation to deliver something. The people around can draw on them without the person having promised anything.
Gate 36 adds an understanding of desire. Work carried on through a low shows that enthusiasm is not the measure of its value. The 6, at the Design Sun, regulates closeness according to mood, so that the bonds formed have already been through several different days.
An image turned over too long
An image turned over and over for weeks starts to look like a plan. It remains a thought of the Ajna, which produces confident conclusions without being able to decide; to choose, you have to rely on the authority of the chart, which no appealing idea can replace.
Conversely, the low of the 36 leads to a different mistake: dropping a piece of work on a day without enthusiasm, when the work itself has not changed. A decision made at the lowest point knows the work only by its dullest day.
The 6, on the Design side, sets distance according to mood. A colleague pushed away on a low day may stop coming by to talk; the images of the 11 then lose the person who would have listened to them.
For you, for others
For you
Say your images aloud for the pleasure of hearing them, and let work done without enthusiasm reach its end before you judge what it is worth.
For others
With a colleague whose chart contains this cross, leave a silence when the meeting stalls: that is when her images come out. Do not conclude from this that she is committing to carry them out.
Frequently asked questions about the Right Angle Cross of Eden
Where do the ideas of Gate 11 come from?
From anywhere: a repetitive task, a wait, a conversation half-heard. The 11 draws them from no particular activity and asks no result of them.
When do the images of the 11 get said?
When the conversation leaves room for them. The Earth in the 12 waits for a pause, a question, a glance turned toward the person; without that opening, the images remain images, which takes nothing away from them.
Is work done without enthusiasm a failure?
Nothing allows you to say so. Gate 36 describes a desire that fades while the work goes on; the quality of what gets done does not necessarily follow the curve of desire.
Are the four Crosses of Eden alike?
They share their four gates; what changes is the gate of the Personality Sun, the one that sets the tone. Here, it is the ideas of the 11; the other versions start from the distance of the 6, the low of the 36 or the speech of the 12.
