Chart typeManifestor or Manifesting Generator
Chart authorityAlways Emotional
The urge to try an unfamiliar trade is spoken aloud almost as soon as it arises. Between that first word and the action, only the time given to the emotional wave puts a little distance.
A motor wired to the Throat
Gate 36, Crisis, belongs to the Solar Plexus, the motor of emotions and desire, whose mood rises and falls like a wave. Gate 35, Change, is a gate of the Throat, where what was inner becomes speech or action.
Here a motor touches the Throat directly, which limits the possible Types to two. With an undefined Sacral, the chart is a Manifestor’s: that’s the case for the 35-36 taken alone. One more Sacral channel, the 42-53 for example, shifts the Type to Manifesting Generator. Authority doesn’t budge: since the Solar Plexus is defined, any chart containing this channel decides by letting the wave pass.
As for circuitry, it belongs to the Collective group, Abstract sub-circuit, like the 30-41. Its subtitle calls it “A Design of a Jack of All Trades.”
Two dinners, two announcements
One evening at dinner, a pharmacist announces that he’s training for a cooking diploma. Four years later, at the same dinner, he explains that he’s leaving the kitchen for ceramics. Each time, he speaks with complete certainty. Each time, the announcement comes shortly before the move.
The Solar Plexus’s desire finds an immediate outlet in the Throat. Nothing in the channel’s mechanics holds back the sentence or the action. Emotional Authority asks for the opposite: wait for the wave to rise and fall, and see whether the urge still holds once things are calm.
In a Manifestor’s chart, the Strategy is to inform the people the action will affect before acting. For a Manifesting Generator, the Sacral’s response comes first, the announcement after.
Before leaving for ceramics, the pharmacist told the head chef of the restaurant where he worked. The chef had time to find someone to take over his station, and the departure went smoothly.
Daring to take the first step
The channel makes it possible to launch into the unknown without waiting to understand everything. When a group hesitates to try a new formula, the person with this channel volunteers to give it a go. Experiences pile up, varied, until they form a jack-of-all-trades kind of knowledge.
When the decision has ripened over the length of the wave, the drive remains intact at the moment of acting. The Manifestor who has informed the people around them then knows peace, their Signature; the Manifesting Generator, satisfaction.
Jumping from the top of the wave
Deciding at the peak exposes a person to a commitment made before the mood has turned. The urge is there, the words follow. In the low, the project remains, with its constraints.
Anger awaits the Manifestor who is held back, or not allowed to finish. For a Manifesting Generator, frustration is added when the drive took off without a Sacral response. An early announcement eases a good part of this resistance.
A new experience can also serve as an escape from the previous one. Quitting a job in the low of one wave to start another at the peak of the next strings departures together without any of them having really been chosen.
For you, for others
For you
Give each new project time to pass through several moods before announcing it as decided. When the answer holds from one day to the next, inform the people the change will affect, then go for it.
For others
When someone close to you announces a new project, try neither to talk them out of it nor to push them into it: their decision takes shape over time. A simple question, asked again on another day, “Are you still thinking about it?”, helps them more than an opinion on the project.
Frequently asked questions about the Channel of Transitoriness
Does this taste for one experience after another signal instability?
Moving from one experience to the next is part of the channel, which the system associates with a jack-of-all-trades subtitle and a desire that goes straight to speech. What matters, for each departure, is having let the wave pass before launching it.
Manifestor or Manifesting Generator: what settles it?
The Sacral, and the Sacral alone. Undefined, it leaves a Manifestor; defined by any one of its channels, it gives a Manifesting Generator. The link between the motor and the Throat is a given as soon as the 35-36 is defined.
What does the name Transitoriness refer to?
The quality of what passes and does not last. The name carries this idea of moving on from one experience to the next.
Gate 36 is called Crisis: does the channel attract crises?
Crisis is the name the system gives to Gate 36, in the Solar Plexus, where the wave begins. Difficulties come mostly from a commitment made in the heat of the moment, which weighs heavily when the mood comes down. A decision that has had time to pass through several moods spares a good part of them.
