Kin 249: Red Lunar Moon
Dreamspell
249of 260
For a Lunar Moon, an emotion is only truly understood in contact with another that contradicts it.
With no one across from you, the water stays cloudy: you know something is moving without knowing what. Then someone expresses the opposite, anger where you felt sorrow, enthusiasm where you were hesitating, and your own feeling suddenly takes on outlines. Disagreement does not unsettle you. It gives you a boundary.
Except that seal and tone pull in opposite directions here. The tone asks for two poles, and the Moon tends to follow the current coming from the other side. In the middle of an argument, you may catch yourself feeling what the other person feels to the point of no longer finding your own side. The opposition fades, and you lose the boundary that allowed you to find your position.
Everything comes down to two gestures: letting the other person contradict you until your feeling appears, then keeping that feeling sheltered long enough that it does not become an echo of theirs again.
That second gesture is what the Red Dragon brings by guiding you. It does not live in the flow; it gives birth and gives shelter. To your Lunar Moon, it gives the means to protect the new feeling that has just appeared at the moment of the clash, before the next tide carries it away. Where your tone seeks tension in order to recognize itself, the Dragon steers you toward what comes out of it alive, and toward the care to give that first, still fragile form.
