Gate 62, Detail, speaks through the Throat, but the opinion that would gather its facts together forms elsewhere, in the Ajna, with its harmonic gate, Gate 17, Opinion, which the cross does not contain. Absorbed in dates, Roxane hands back a flawless manuscript whose useless central chapter nobody has flagged. Accuracy in the details guarantees nothing about the whole.
With no channel to define it, the Throat speaks according to who is in the room. In an editorial meeting, precision turns into an inventory: every typo gets its turn, and the opinion people were waiting for on the title never arrives.
The cycle of the 42 has an end. A series that has given everything it had can still be extended out of habit; nothing grows in it anymore, and the 32, consulted at the deadline, would have said so.
