Who may come close, and when: in someone with this version, the answer changes with the mood, through no fault of the person opposite. The words that would make this distance clear wait for a silence to give them room.
The 22, absent but close by
Gate 12, Caution, sits in the Throat, but its harmonic gate, Gate 22, Openness, is in the Solar Plexus. That is the center where the two Personality gates sit as well. If the 22 is present in the chart, the Channel of Openness forms and links this center to the Throat: a sentence from the 12 then waits for a pause in the exchange and, on top of that, for the right moment in the wave that already sets the distances.
In a chart where this channel stood alone, the Type would be Manifestor and the authority Emotional; with a Sacral also defined by another channel, the Type would be Manifesting Generator.
Its angle, the Right Angle, points to a personal destiny. What the 6 regulates here is the gap between the person and those who approach them, day by day.
Sheets folded in pairs
In the industrial laundry that washes the linen of two hospitals, the night shift folds sheets in pairs, each person holding two corners.
For a month, Guillaume has been folding with a new colleague who talks nonstop: her children, her former boss, the morning drive. Whether he is even-tempered or tired that night, the same discomfort returns after an hour. He steps back, folds faster, answers in a single word.
He keeps it to himself for several weeks. One night, the big ironer breaks down and the shed goes quiet; in that calm, he tells her he works better without conversation, that it is nothing personal. She shrugs. Since then, she keeps one earbud in; they fold side by side without any friction.
Putting the distance into words
A distance voiced in time does not have to turn into a falling-out. The 6 keeps the other person at the length that suits it that day; the 12, when the exchange finally leaves a pause, puts words to that length.
Those who work alongside know where they stand, without mistaking a step back for a slammed door.
Gate 36, at the Earth, tests enthusiasms in another way. A friendship or a project launched with enthusiasm has to go through a period when desire is missing; whatever holds afterward has been known in both lights.
On the Design side, the 11 adds images that call for no follow-up.
A mood that came from the room
With an open Solar Plexus, what rises and falls belongs partly to the people around. If a team is in a bad mood, the person pushes away even those they like that evening; if a colleague is discouraged, the enthusiasm they had for a project drops without the project having changed.
The silence of the 12 has a price too. Discomfort that waits weeks for its moment is poorly received when it comes out all at once: the other person suddenly discovers what had been weighing for a long time without knowing what to do with it.
For you, for others
For you
Tell those you keep at a distance that an answer given one evening may change the following month. Discomfort that keeps returning with the same person, whatever your mood, on the other hand deserves to be voiced at the first suitable silence.
For others
When a colleague with this cross takes a step back, ask your question again another day instead of insisting that same evening.
Frequently asked questions about the Right Angle Cross of Eden
Why is the same friend welcome one evening and kept at arm’s length the next?
Because Gate 6 sets distance according to the mood of the moment, not the person. Between the two evenings, the friend did nothing; the wave moved. The right distance is the one that recurs from one moment to another.
Does a friendship born in a burst of enthusiasm survive the low point?
It has to go through it, like everything that began with enthusiasm. Gate 36 puts every burst of enthusiasm through a moment without desire; a friendship that continues beyond it has shown that it also holds on ordinary days.
Does Gate 36, Crisis, foretell ordeals?
No. It describes a desire that subsides while what it set in motion runs its course. Nothing arrives from outside and nothing is predicted: the low point belongs to desire, not to events.
Do the images of the 11 concern relationships?
No more than anything else. The 11, on the Design side, supplies images with no set theme and no obligation to follow up; they may be about a relationship as easily as a journey, and they do not decide the distance the 6 regulates.
