Two Design gates without a harmonic gate
The Channel of Community is complete on the Personality side: the 37 in the Solar Plexus, the 40 in the Heart. The two Design gates, the 5 in the Sacral and the 35 in the Throat, each remain without their harmonic gate, the 15 for one, the 36 for the other; nothing in the cross connects the Throat to a motor.
Eight o’clock, Thursday
Every Thursday evening for twenty years, Térence has hosted three friends from high school. The menu changes, the time never does: eight o’clock. Nobody rings the bell before.
When one of them repainted his mother’s apartment, Térence had promised two weekends. He gave two, in full; he washed the brushes before leaving.
One winter Thursday, as he walks his friends to the door, he announces that one day he will learn to play the organ. His friends make no comment. Three years later, he still talks about it, and he still has not pushed open the door of the church next door.
Friends you do not lose sight of
The 37 pays attention to bonds. A friend absent two Thursdays in a row gets a phone call; the bond is picked up again before it can be damaged.
Help promised with a cool head goes all the way: the 40 gives its people a full effort, then withdraws for as long as it takes to recover.
The bonds of a 4/1 last, and it is to the people close to them that they first entrust what they have studied.
The urge that stays a sentence
An urge announced every year and never tried ends up no longer being heard. Without Gate 36 in the chart, the 35 has no motor to turn it into action, and the people around stop taking the sentence seriously.
A fixed meeting can also hold the person back. A Thursday kept out of habit, during a season when the desire to see friends has gone missing, becomes one more obligation.

Nothing says so. The 35 describes how an urge reaches speech, not how it turns out. An urge that has been coming back for years has held up through many moods; it still has to meet a decision, which only the chart’s authority can make.
