Kin 190: White Galactic Dog
Dreamspell
190of 260
For the Galactic Dog, loyalty is only worth something if it shows in actions: you don’t know how to love in words alone.
When you say you will be there, you are. When you care about someone, it shows in the time you give them, in the choices you make for them, in the refusals you give others. The reverse is true too: an affection that has died out is something you can’t act out for long. Your body, your voice, your absences end up showing it.
That is where seal and tone collide. The Dog holds on to its attachments, sometimes longer than the bond justifies, and your tone cannot bear conduct that contradicts what your head already knows about a relationship. When the heart stays out of loyalty while the head knows, you live through a silent rift, and you blame yourself as much for staying as for considering leaving. The White Wizard, whose power never works through force, guides you toward a path other than constraint: saying what is true, to yourself and then to the other person, and letting that truth do its work. With it, harmony between your actions and your knowledge is not obtained through sheer willpower; it often comes about by itself, once the thing has been named plainly.
Being loyal to someone without being any less loyal to what you know: it is a demand that never leaves you entirely at peace.
